FFS

Evidently, 'crazy' might become taboo in the coming years. What do we call these people -- mentally challenged is taken. Perhaps mentally deficient. Mentally off-kilter. How bout Mental FUBARs. Too many idiots, not enough assholes. Make me President, and I'll castrate every son-of-a-bitch child molester and rapist out there -- none of this 3 strikes BS (sorry, side rant digression w/ a momentary delusion of grandeur).

Then I read this and everything was okay in the world. Reminded me of this video:
Which is probably the only PG song in the entire movie -- every time I see a montage in any movie, this song plays in my head. For those who aren't offended by crude language, behavior, etc, here's a nice little speech from the same movie that about sums idiocy up.

End this w/ a question. If there were nothing to protest, would there be hippies?

  1. What an asshole.

    ;-)

If there were nothing to protest the hippies would protest the absence of protestable subjects.

  2. If there was nothing to protest there would still be something left to smoke, so yeah, I think there would still be hippies. :)

  3. Is that one of those existential spiritual questions intended to provoke deep thought and where there is no answer?

Cuz if so, I say, chicken. Yeah. Chicken.

  4. If there was nothing left to protest, hippies would probably all spontaneously combust.

  5. So the definition of a hippie is a person, especially of the late 1960s who rejected established institutions (hence the protesting) and values and sought spontaneity, direct personal relations expressing love, and expanded consciousness, often expressed externally in the wearing of casual, folksy clothing. So.....yeah....I think you can be a PARTIAL hippie without the protesting.

SJ -- yep, where there's dope, there are hippies.

LT - deep thoughts and me go together like oil and water ;)

Shannon -- I would pay so much to see that.

Anita -- had to ruin it for me ;)

Void -- I do my best.

  9. I think we're pretty safe, in that there will always be something to protest. Grape jelly, perhaps.

  10. In my day job, we are not allowed to call ex-cons, ah, ex-cons. They are now previously incarcerated.

    Stupid people.

I hate fair hearing outcomes. Even without hippies, there's always something to protest in gov't.

    ..........dhole

  11. Every time I see protesters, I think they obviously have more free time than I do. Instead of protesting, they should live more in line with Gandhi's words : "We must be the change we wish to see."

Your blog always makes me smile. Roland
