Stoked

Ah, the rare Friday post. I'm totally geeked that I'm a finalist in Nathan Bransford's Chase/Action/Suspense Contest. Makes me think I might actually have a clue how to write action, which helps the confidence (kind of like Guitar Hero going from the red zone to the yellow). If you have a chance, go on over and vote for your favorite (and it doesn't have to be mine :)

  3. Your entry rocked. Congrats on being a finalist.

Is your entry from a WIP? And if so, when can I read it/buy it in stores?

  4. Thanks, Adam. Yeah, it's a WIP (Kissing Dragons), about halfway done. And moving at a snail's pace, of course.

  9. Hey, Bane, Congrats! On the writing, of course. I'd never congratulate anyone on the Lakers. Sort of a moral principle.

  10. Thanks, Bryan... It's gonna be an interesting free agent summer... LBJ and Bosh together would be pretty intimidating, particularly since Bosh doesn't need the ball in his hands to be a game-changer.

  23. Obviously, I've been outta the loop lately, but I just noticed that you're the co-winner in Bransford's latest contest... and naturally, I have to add my own congrats to the pile. I've missed your sharp wit these past few months - and I'm tickled pink that you're getting the recognition you deserve! Go, you!

  25. I've visited Alliterati before, but when I saw you'd one NB's contest, I had to come visit and say congrats! And, just curious, what in the world does your tag "kissing dragons" mean? It conjured up all sorts of strange mental picture for me :)

  26. Hi Margo. Thanks for stopping by. Kissing Dragons is the name of my current WiP (from which the NB excerpt originated). References a few things within the story, but most obvious is my world's #1 reality TV series of the same name in which Army soldiers go on some fierce dragon hunts and have a bit of fun at their prey's expense at the end of each episode.
